Gloria Ober

Gloria Ober (she/her) was born and raised within Coast Salish territory, on
Snuneymuxw First Nation Land. This has fostered a deep respect for indigenous ways
of being with the world. Gloria studied Child and Youth Care at Vancouver Island
University where she learned about the importance of genuine relationship building and
the therapeutic magic that comes from learning with nature.

Her time spent with youth in various contexts has taught her that matching the energy
of people is key to earning their trust, and fostering their resilience. She has found that
kind and consistent boundaries when working with children are integral to making them
feel heard, seen and valued.

Gloria enjoys being creative and uses her creativity in playful ways to connect with
children. She is a keen and avid learner, taking in new offerings and applying them to
her current understandings in a way that furthers her growth. Gloria has a passion for
inclusivity, and extensive experience working and playing with families of all ages. She
believes that every person is deserving of respect.

Gloria likes to spend her time gardening, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and researching
new interests!
