EPIC was born out of a collective desire to change the way that education happens in our community. Years before EPIC programming began in September of 2019, a group of parents and committed individuals began meeting regularly to dream and scheme what possibilities could be birthed into reality. The driving force behind the creation of the EPIC community was to create a socially conscious community which strives to nurture and protect the natural world and which uses attachment-based methods to nourish and strengthen our relationships with our children. The name EPIC came from the creative acronym ‘Ecologically emPowering Inclusive Communities.’
