Asta is an environmental educator, naturalist, writer, and storyteller with more than 15 years of experience connecting children and youth with science, nature, and the ocean. She holds a master’s degree in Coastal Zone Management and Educational Outreach and has worked in outdoor, marine, and community-based education with organizations including the CRD, Raincoast Conservation Foundation, Science World, and Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary. She is also the creator of Penny & Joe, a children’s storytelling podcast inspired by nature, curiosity, and playful adventure. As a mother of two, Asta is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where children feel safe, capable, and excited to explore the world around them.
