Sophie grew up in Vancouver with her two siblings and has always loved being outside, discovering new places, and trying new things. She recently graduated from the University of Victoria’s Child and Youth Care program and cares deeply about building genuine relationships with children and giving them the space to explore, take risks, make mistakes, and grow in their own way. She loves seeing what happens when kids are given the freedom to follow their curiosity and discover what they’re capable of.

Sophie first came to EPIC as a practicum student during her CYC program and loved her time here so much that she knew she wanted to come back. She especially loves that EPIC gives kids the chance to spend their days outside, get curious, get a little messy, and learn through their own experiences.

For the past three years, Sophie has also been living in a van, giving her plenty of opportunities for adventure and time outdoors. She loves rock climbing, lake swimming, spending time in the forest, and exploring Vancouver Island.
